Winter
(December – March)
Deep snow, quiet forests, and easy access to some of Japan’s best ski resorts. Winter in Myoko is about powder days, warm local food, and peaceful evenings after time on the mountain.
Spring
(April – June)
As the snow melts, the region becomes calm and lush. Spring brings fresh greenery and the famous Sakura at Takada Park, making it an ideal time for forest walks, shrine paths, and slow travel.
Summer
(July – September)
Summer in the Myoko area is warm and lively, with long days that suit mountain hiking and easy trips to the coast. Nearby beaches, local festivals, and green landscapes make it a great time to explore beyond the ski season.
Autumn
(October – November)
Crisp air and vivid Momiji (autumn leaves) transform the landscape. Autumn is perfect for cycling through quiet roads, walking beneath changing colours, and enjoying a slower rhythm before winter returns.
